Our mission

With this documentary we want to highlight the need for economic reform with Basic Income as a means of transition.

A documentary with a hopeful vision about a sustainable future.

Stories are important in human evolution. With everything we do, from science to our economy, we tell a story about it for our brains to comprehend; reducing information to a story.

This is what our documentary does with Basic Income. Basic Income is an elegant policy piece, but at the same time complex in its effects, because it concerns our human behaviour. That’s why we take a deep dive into these psychological effects. We travel the world to the Basic Income experiments, to see how this has changed life, while also experts talk about it from a theoretical perspective.

A holistic perspective on climate change and a sustainable economy.

- The Happiness Economy

What is our goal?

We want to achieve a number of goals with this documentary; education, offering perspective & creating political support for the Basic Income. Either way, democracy essentially only works when society is aware of how policies work. In this documentary we take a deep look at Basic Income and what effects it has on the individual and society
as a whole.

The Documentary as a means

Why a documentary? Storytelling is a universal language. For millions of years, humans have been telling stories to make something big and complex, small and understandable. Climate change is too big and too complex for many. By telling the right stories, we connect the function of the economy to our collective behavior. And understanding this picture makes it easier to take action. All this starts with the positive and hopeful telling of the right stories by experts, in a documentary in which the economy & Universal Basic Income is linked to more sustainable living.
